Roller Triggers

Hi there i would like to know if Roller Trigges are allowed in the koth events? apparently they arent or something? and what is the difference between them and a normal trigger? write back cheers

Yes roller triggers are fine, I think however told you (or you) are getting confused with rocking triggers, such as that on some spyders, that aren't allowed.

A roller trigger is cool for use

rolling triggers, as in, ones that use a small abec bearing in them... are fine, since they just make the pull and return much smoother and thusly in theory, quicker.

rocking triggers, that pivot on a central point of the trigger that lies between where the two fingers are placed; as used on the spyder electra, are banned i do believe

Read Fish's thread for the answers a roller trigger is just the same as a normal trigger but has a bearing in it to make it smoother. But a rocking trigger is a whole different kettle of fish

There are also roller triggers that have a bearing mounted on the outside of the trigger blade at the front on a little hump, that allow you to fire quickly by running your finger up and down the trigger. Like this one;

which again are fine as they still only use one trigger switch. The rocking triggers use two and that's what makes then dubious.

Err no Hawkins thats not why they are banned

They are banned because they have two activation points.

If things were banned because people had patented them then we wouldn't be able to use anything would we
