Hmmm, but come to think of it, here's the deal anyway so there's no confusion.
When Richmond asked me, it was always in terms of England, in fact, he had even got the shirts designed and made up with the England name on it long before he had even contacted me.
For all I knew at that time, the Welsh, Jocks and Irish were to be given the same opportunity as us.
Then Sid contacted me and asked why it wasn't a UK squad and he felt aggrieved that the other home nations weren’t included.
Anyway, I then realised that there was no offer extended to the other home nations and I thought, hmm, ok, might as well make it a Brit thing, which I posted on here and emailed Sid about.
This selection process now involves anybody from the UK , all are welcome and all will be picked if they are good enough, it's as simple as that.
But what I don't want is to be accused of bias come the final selection and I think you lot know what I am talking about cuz believe me, if any of you Jocks are good enough, you are in, that goes for the Welsh and the Irish.
I don't give two ****s as long as you give us the best possible chance to win the thing.
But, if all the best guys are deemed to be English then you have to respect my choice and since there will probably be something like a 30 to 1 ratio, the numbers at least, are against you.
Anyway, that's the deal wee-man and I hope to see you there on the fifth if you can make it, and if you shine, you are in !!

sorry robbo but i cant make it as i have had other things arranged for that day since january and if i had come down and you had picked me i would have had to decline your offer as my wife is having our second child around the time of the tourney in america and my priorities have to be my wife and our children for a couple of months at least ....and sid dont listen to rumours you know youll just start to cry if you dont get picked.... good luck to all your team robbo be they English,Scottish,Welsh or Irish

For the sake of Anglo-Jock relations, I suggest a non-aggression pact, one that we all adhere to for the duration of the trials.
That way I can concentrate on getting the best 10 players rather than having to think about some mad Jock trying to punch me for every battle they lost over history, I mean, I just couldn't take that number of punches dude and still live
