Rip drives in halo A (the cog system one without belt)

can you fit rip drives to halo A i know you can with a halo b but can you with the halo a (the later version of the halo b with cogs and gears)

dont you mean earlier version

also i dont think you can without drilling a big hold in the shell and drive cone but i may be corected.
