never never land
Is it just me or is it good to see a company give something back to paintball for once ? Go Ballistic have hired a massive area for the Ionman events and run them hand in hand with the site they have choosen. They have given the chance for novice players to try tournaments and bridge the gap into rec ball playing with out taking peoples eyes out for it. Their events are costing £40 a head inc 500 balls discounted to £35 if a UKPSF member. If you buy your next 1500 balls in advance it costs you £15 more ! So £55 or £50 entrance including a box of paint.

So not only have they given us an affordable day they have topped it off with the profits going back into the day ! A raffle prize of a top of the range marker ! £1000 Prize money and novice players winning 5 Ions.

I think it is re freshing to see a company try and give something back to the ballers ! Smartparts must be thinking highly of these events if they are putting their name on them and backing it as well.

I for one have not played woodland for a while but I will be entering this event as it is the only event I have ever seen on a forum that is encouraging new players and also giving existing players something back.

Guys we need to support this kind of event and build up our stock of players ! My friend tried his first tournament on air ball and got wiped of the face of the earth every game. He quit balling as simply felt embarassed to be on the field. But after seeing this event he is considering giving it another chance. He won't feel like a piece of meat at a cattle market (punter day),or like a kid as experienced players will be there as well. So as I said earlier this kind of event needs our support and backing !

Well done Ionman !! and who ever has choosen to back these events.

Well let me just say thank you.

It was only a matter time before stuck this post up.

Right let me tell you a few things first though.

Go ballistic are one of the biggest paintball companies in the UK the only one to come near them is delta force.

Now before any one jumps on the bans wagon and says that "oh well they still change a fortune to play"

Well yes but not that much when you take in to account what they do that's how they make money that how they employe people that's how they feed there families.

What people and players don't know that Go ballistic has done they are doing farmore for the tournament scene than any one knows.

Go ballistic started fire ball which coast them so much money all they wanted to do is make it possible for people to train that spent a fortune on it and it was the first one in the UK.

We all know what happened they could stay open because not enough people came and it wasn't that expensive.

Plus they own bricketwood as well which now i think has 5 tournament fields on it.

Bernie who owns go ballistic with his brother Dan is on our team now and go balistic is one of our sponsors as well they are going to help us out over the season with a number of things and this is to promote go ballistic.

Some more things are going to happen in the next month which will help out tournament paintball even more and it is going to be a very good year for all.

And this is due to go ballistic.

Bernie and co have proved that not all site owners are just in paintball to make money he is puttying it back into tournament paintball i don't think i have met some one more passionate about it to be honest.

I am sure people will back me up on this.

Have to say he is a great guy when I met him, that is why I am 100 percent behind this Ionman event. Ok guys if you play Air ball who cares come to this event and promote what they are trying to do (Bernie and Dan) No other event that I know of is setting out to get people into paintball and bridge that huge gap from punter to Rec ball player.

The more people we get into the likes of www.ionman.co.uk the more players will be out there to join in air ball and paintball in general. The gap between woods and air is getting smaller and I think with in a year or two more and more people will be jumping between the 2 of them.

Guys lets back these events all the way if we can !

Can I just say that the effort being put into this event is great and the site up in Newcastle where the event is being held has massive plans as well. With a massive 20 game arenas going to be ready by the end of the year ! The event is not a one of it is going to be held 3 - 4 times a year with the money taken re invested into the event !

My hat comes of to Bernie and Dan for taking brave steps in investing time , money and energy into this kind of event. I can tell you all that the advertising costs and promotion for this event has not come out of the ticket costs. Not one penny has been taken by Go Ballistic for the event in April ! They are backing this event for the love of the sport !

www.ionman.co.uk book it and promote it as giving you the paintballer something for your money !
