Was wondering if any new ego owners have tried out the RF Transmitter been hearing reports the mac noids have been frying the chips

and realy dont know if i should put it into my alien or not

there are plugs on every end of the wiring harness i gues they have to be cut off !! which ones......
you would have thought they came with a set of instructions..........

try PB nation mate, they've had them longer than the UK, so may have overcome some of the issue's

sorted i was supplied with the wrong harness for the ego just cut off the extra plugs so you are left with 2 wires and just solder to the board took like 2 mins
i gotta say its quick!!!

There is only one harness that we provide. The one you have is the newer version and you are quite right to do what you have done.

The wires are non-polarity conscious on the TX end.

just out of interest is there any truth in the reball and static shorting out the board on the pulse?

I haven't heard of this. PWM control valves operate by controlling the current to the coil. By increasing the current you open further the valve allowing more flow. If a full signal is applied then the solenoid operates just like a bang-bang valve.

The TX is powered up by a full signal. You can't actually fry the transmitter unless you apply a higher signal than the supply voltage. Likewise the transmitter can not fry the markers board as it an internal impedence and therefore can not short circuit the valve output from the wires.

I'm not aware of any issues with the Alien.

btw is there a online manual ? mine didnt come with one in the box
