they already are just as fast. an x-board revvy can get up to about 12bps. and although the older version of the egg (up and including y-board) is supposed to be able to get 17bps, it is usually about 13.
this is what ive picked up from others posting on forums, as i have a halo myself, so if it's incorrect, do correct me :)
if however you put in a z-board, the rates are supposed to be up around the 20s.

Vortex impeller and a 16v voltage regulator will get it feeding faster. If you were so inclined, and you had the proper amount of initiative, and time to waste, you could probably program a new board for it, to where it spins with every shot fired, and for a longer period of time, and that would make it faster.

Note:
I dont know what gun the guy has but
This would only work on an IR3 speed or A4. Unless you fancy splicing your solenoid wires

And revvys are limited by gravity so 13bps is about max.

Eggs are force feed, they can feed very fast. But the X and Y board ones are let down by a very crappy control board.

eggs arent force feed. only halos are. even a z board isn't true force feed in an egg

big big titties
well ive tried out both z board and y bord on an eggy (have 2 eegs, one with z one with y) and the y board takes 9-10 seconds to empty a pot and the z board takes 6-7 seconds for a pot

the z board has the slightest amount of force, but nothing compared to a halo

I meant a reprogrammed board for the revvy, not the marker. I never even thought of that :)

That depends on your definition of force feed.

In this case I was referring to force feed as the ability to push the paintballs into the gun rather than just sorting the paintballs into the feedneck and letting gravity do the rest.

The Zboard and intelifeed eggs do this, that is why they can feed faster than 15bps.
Just ask any Z-Board owner, its a world away from a revvy.

Some people seem to want to to add the pre-tesnsion of the ball stack as a pre-requesite for force feed, this only affects the performance of the hopper from rest, so I cant really agree with that definition.
