As much as people talk about high ROF and hoppers keeping up with the markers and such, why is it that I still see pics of top players with choices to use others still using 12 volt revi's? All in all, I think that I may be going back to one from my Halo if it doesn't start acting right. Obviously there is still a place for them in tourney ball, or am I wrong?

From what I can gather Eggs and Halo are relativly huge compared to Revis.

Front players will be more likely to use the revis, as there small and lighter, makeing them less of a target. And as they only usually take a few shots quick shots, rather than huge strings of paint, the revvy can feed this type of shoot easliy.

Back players will be more likely to use the Eggs and halos I think due to their size (more paintballs per load i think) and the fact that they feed faster.

Totally, it's each to their own :)

For most playas', tha advantages of a revvy over a Supa' speed loader is that u don't rince your hopper too quick, meanining you can keep you're gun posted for longer. How many balls do you recon you need to keep someone in? Id say about 10bps max :) Most of the time you dont even shoot that.. When your trying to kill, whats the point of keeping soneone in by ripping his bunker with 22bps? U want to tease him out so you can cap him in tha head  And you only need one ball for that :D ;)

I played with one all day today and remembered why I used to love my old one so much  It's really well balanced and really thin, giving better vision on the field.

Jus myy oppinion of course :)

Peace out

Hey, the Emperor has no clothes

Thought I was the only one that thinks Halo's are are overpriced and over-rated. They are huge but actually hold less balls than an Egg or a revi and jam far too often, leaving you screwed on the field. I agree wholeheartedly w/ Tommy on the balance and thin profile of the revi. If only they could only make a z board version, it would be the best of both worlds.

going back to what bluelite said about ROF though

what difference do you get for having an x-board or a y-board or a z board

at the end of the day, surely you can only ram balls down a hole at a certain rate can't you

For a year or so i've had an Empire reloader, which is a revvy with a sound board instead of eyes. It's faster than an x board revvy because it stops the problem happening instead of curing the problem.
Booti, yes some hoppers do feed balls faster than others. Take a Halo, fill it with balls and turn it on. Watch the balls drop in a continuous line, where the revvy will have gaps, and the gaps will be a chop.

It seems like a waste of time to have a large heavy gun that can do 20bps, then limit it to 12bps to save a bit of weight in the hopper, its like taking the turbo out of your car to save on weight.

Saying that I still love the old intelifeed revi, it is the lightest motorised hopper you can buy, no batteries adding to weight. That is why Dynastys front guys had them at campaign.
