Eh... Im not exactly sure but... I think the richocet has a faster feed rate, but is more expensive. The Revi seems most commenly used, so its pretty reliable from what I hear. The richocet it only neccessary if you need a faster feed rate, however ive seen people use revis on angels and have no problems with it. But personally i would save up for an EvoII, they're great fun, look sweet as hell too.

Hmmm...the Ricochet holds fewer balls than the Rev and is slightly slower if you have a really fast trigger finger. I wish the Rev. came stock with a timer like the one on the Ric. and I like the flexible paddles on the Ric.

I would say that the Rev. with an X-board and a flexible paddle will do you pretty good unless you're a backman and have a really fast trigger finger...at that point you'll need a HALO but an Evo II works pretty good for most people also. The flexible paddle for the Rev. helps prevent burning out the motor in really hot and humid weather, balls tend to get soft and jam underneath hard or stock paddles.

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Try the re-loader from empire, I was very impressed with mine.
HALO's are fast but expensive and prone to stopping in hot weather as I discovered on the X-ball field at the DMA     !

Never tried a Ricochet, on paper they are supposed to be slower than the revi. For reliability and value for money go for the revi or save up and get an Evo II. I used and Evo I on a borrowed Angel IR3 and was well impressed, very quick! Can only assume that the new one is better.

Well heres a site that has compared all the hoppers for marker and displayed a result table showing the different BPS

http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/loaders/lineup/

THis shows u the difference between revi & ricochet, and u could say that the ricochet was a little better at 13 bps coz i didn't break ne balls, unlike the x-board revy.

I have a angel with a X-board revy and i find that its keeps up but if u wanted to pay the little extra just for a Timer, then no ones stoping u :p.

Cheers

Daz

P.S. If u are short on cash u could try a very cheap option, and i would speak to Albercent to get the it right, but u could change the voltage regulator on a normaly 2000 revy and make it equal to a X-board for nothing :D, like i said talk to albercent he did it :D.

- 2nd hand 2000 revy £15 - 25
- Voltage regulater (sum thing around £0.20 - £1.50) [NOT sure :p]

ALso here is sumthing else u could try for a cheaper options :D

one thing no-one has mentioned yet,
the rico's have their fill on top of the loader, this means to fill while shooting you either have to hold the marker at waist level or hold your pot way above your head. or stop shootin altogether and lower your marker:eek:

the revys due to the fact their fill neck is at a slight angle allow you to fill easier whilst shooting or without dipping the markers barrel too much leaving you open to muggings.

i have used the VL loaders from the shredder through to the x-board. nice simple rugged loader- no complaints from me

ball count feature on the rico's:rolleyes:- run outa paint? put more in simple

i personnelly am not keen on the shape of the rico's but i guess you like it so who am i to stop ya :D
