Ok so thanks to all the help here I have an 04 autococker and a freak barrel on the way...

I now need the rest of my bits:

Squeege common or garden or is there any value to the trick ones that fold?

Air canister, do I need one or will the site provide me with one if I am on a punter day?

hopper: I kind of like the offset ones but this gun has a straight up ball feed do I need to go with a straight up feeder? Are there any gravity fed low profile ones that are less of a target?

Best mask for a sensible price < £50?

Is there any point in a remote line?

Are there any other worthwhile parts or pearls of wisdom to get the most out of my gun?

Thanks :)

first there is no point in a remote line unless u have a stock on ur gun.
second if u want a gd mask for less than 50 quid try and get a dye i3 or a profiler off here.
for the rest i can't help you.

WingnutLP,

Buy a decent power feed hopper as a gravity won't feed consistently leading to chops in the breech. You won't need a mega quick one as the cocker only makes 6-8bps unless upgraded or E-Bladed. You may need to sand neck of hopper to fit vertical feed - which is fixed and not clamping style on 04. If too loose you can tape it to stop it twisting. I have to do with the Egg used on my own 04.

No point in a remote if you are running air - and it is a good idea to budget for your own bottle. A 3K 1.1L wrapped tank on a HP pre-set reg should give you at around 1200 shots to a fill, and help keep the weight of the gun down.

If cocker hasn't already got an inline reg fitted, you'll need one to sweet-spot input pressure to around 350-500 psi (depending on valve, springing and hammer set-up) before fine tuning velocity on on mainspring adjuster. Can recommend the Belsales Evo valve, delrin bolt, hollow point 3-way and Rex dialer kits as future upgrades. The Magnum ram is also a good way to speed up cycle rates, and allows you to drop pressure on LPR.

It'll be useful to have a barrel kit, or at least a few different bore sizes available. The cocker will get ball roll-out if too big a barrel is used, also accuracy, efficiency and consistency can suffer. I've found paint has got smaller over the years, and now need to go down to a .687" or smaller to get a decent fit. The bigest I normally use on the cocker is a .689" (Custom Products or Empire 2 piece), and anything in the 690+ range is way OTT.

Squeegee - I have a straight shot (folding washer at one end & rag on other) or a pull thru type when needed. But my electro (eye sensor) markers never chop on good paint these days. Even the XMag (Lvl 10) is almost as good with just the odd barrel burst - so the squeegee's hardly get used.

Apart from if your running Co2 it'll help with anti-syphon problems.

Masks= Dye or v-force in my opinion. these are in your budget

As for your power supply?
Air is better but what does your local site use?
Ring and ask and yes they would probably lend you a bottle....i know we would.
