Hi All,
I'm after some advice, I've got a new ASA for my 08 proto SLG and am trying and I emphasise trying... to loosen and remove the ASA thats currently on it.

I've watched a video on youtube and located the "right side hole" inside the grip area. I put a 3/32 allen key in (the same one to remove the grip cover screws) and started turning it towards the trigger, as opposed to towards the back of the gun which the video stated would tighten it.

I pushed the key all the way down about 1/4inch into the hole and have been doing this for about 30mins. When I wiggle the asa its still solid as a rock...

any ideas what I'm doing wrong...

Cheers
JJ

Yeh it was purchased 2nd hand from this forum, I had another try tonight and still no luck with it.

Hopefully someone might be able to have a look and a try when I go on the 24th to the A.P site otherwise I'll just have to try and send the ASA back, getting fed up with the marker now... :(

Cheers for the responses though guys

hi buddy
just had a look at this thread and thought.. hang on.. something isn't right here.

if i am reading you correctly.. you are taking the grips off with an allen key.. and then using the same one to try and undo the asa.

if so.. please get a bigger allen key to undo the asa as the one you are using is too small.

i would suggest you have a quick look at the manual whenever you go near the internals of your marker as often we find they are surprisingly helpful :)

just had a look in mine and it says use a 1/8" allen key.

hope this helps (please dont throw it away :p )

Hey Ant,
The manual was suprisingly my first stop, It actually says take the grips off with a 3/32" and then use a 3/32" to undo the ASA screw in the bottom part which is nearly inacessable (what a stupid place to put a screw).

I think its just knackered been trying for 3 days and cant get it off.
Cheers
