I do!!

1989 I think, an old site in Surrey (run by the Bushbabies), a tent for a staging area, pissing down with rain and a bit of hardly managed woodland with a small village in the middle.

The rental guns?? Scorpions I believe, paint at £10/100 and the clothing was manky. I was there a stupid excitable youth in crappy boots, steaming my goggles up at every excuse and getting shot in the arse every game.

Lunch was forgettable and the afternoon session just as confusing.

It was frigging awesome!!!!!

Fortunately I went on to Bullswood Skirmish after and they got me into tourneys - thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!

Anyone else care to share???

Those were the days

Well mine was in a paintball site in Dumfries, with the good old guns that held a tube of 10 (That doubled as a sex toy) and a gun that you needed to take back to get filled with Co2 as it had no bottle attached. Uvex goggles and off you go. Pissing with rain, well Scotland what do you expect and 20 a side, we actually played a tournament at a site in Luton in 1990 or was it 1989 where we went down and all the English blokes were dressed like fkn trees, one guy, 6ft 8 or something all dressed in black bikers gear used to run right up the middle of the field screaming. Obviously English.

20 a side woodland tournament, taken to your breakout point in an army truck, oh aye, way beack when eh.

All changed now, Scotland now have JT and Splatmaster Rapides.......see you all at Campaign.

Mother, is that you?
1988-89ish layer marney in colchester. 1st game was a 5-man tourney! Breakout, within the minute my whole team (Leaping Dobermans.... cringe) was shot out bar me (I'd only just got to a tree). I'd like to say I took em all out and posted the flag. I'd like to say that, what really happened is five shots up the arse about 20 seconds later. First gun was a Challenger (I think). Paintball career went down hill from that point.

Those were the days when your ability was measured by how big your gun was: 20inch barrel with silencer..... and, of course, co2 gauntlet and a six pak.

Bullswood in '92. Daystate Patriots on CO2 and Whipper Snappers. Didn't have a clue what to do. (still don't).

Barely a year later I was marshalling and from there playing in tourney's.

It's amazing how one day can wreak so much havoc on your life...

Quite a short history really compared to you golden oldies! It was 1997. I was 17 and went with a group of mates from college organised by Spud. After the days play with Razorback pumps and nasty fogging masks, I was bitten by the bug. 2 years later I started to play tournaments and now, here I am. Can't wait till campaign. See ya all there.

Mine wasnt long ago - first game i played was "Farmhouse" at the NPF. First time ever, stood at a window ready for the opposition to come for us. Then they came all 30 of them, when your a n00b and you see that many people running out of bushes from all sides with balls of paint flying everywhere well ..... i almost ****ted myself! God my head out of the window for a start! :D

Bud (redz)

Alan Kemp is running a team called Usual Suspects (sometimes turning out as Kuttin Krew - it's been a few haircuts since that name adorned a tourney).

Some of the old faces in there. Mostly they play at Temple I think.
