Relocated To Bristol... A little help?

Dear All, I have just moved to Bristol from Kent for a new job, I dont know a freaking soul and am spending much more time on line as a result. (Mum said this would happen eventually...)
Lift me from the despair and clue me in to good places to play down here, teams who might be out and about, good pubs and clubs etc. Also hook me up with any good websites to keep track of the usual scandal, rumours, lies and gossip. Any tips would be appreciated as i am currently sans buddies...
