what seeting you got you reloader at mate?

sometimes what happens is that when people have the reloader on levels 2 or 3 the paint is chucked down the feedneck so fast that when the paint hits the breech,by the time the eyes have detected the ball and the bolt moving forward the paint has bounced that little tiny fraction causing a messy situation. then the paint from this break slows every other ball down after it,casuing more mess.

someone else had that problem on settings 2 and 3. as soon as they stick the reloader on level 1 the problem was solved. however this was on an ion so may be totally wrong and differnt for an ego.

just give it a go,only way to see:)

Not much help, but I have exactly the same problem! My egg runs fine - not one break, but put my reloader on and its a mess. I have tried every setting and even replaced my ball detents.

Check the simple things before you get rid of it.
Good batteries in the reloader? It could just not be feeding.
Are you using it correctly? Turn it on first in a quiet area (under your jumper will do) let it turn, then put in the paint and it'll pre-load.
Put it on setting 1, this is easily enough for 15bps ramping so im sure it'll do for your ego unless its a bit bouncy ;)
Lastly, is the drive cone on correctly? If you push it clockwise, does it tension on the spring?

If you check these, and it still doesnt like your ego, i'll have it ;)

Same solution, turn the speed DOWN.

Sounds stupid but it works, the re-loaders can be harder on paint than Halo's, thats why I have both.

Try it with fresh batteries on speed 1, turn it on before filling away from back ground noise, it sets its sensitivity during the start up procedure.

But they are still BETTER than a Halo coz if you do get a break there are no EYES to get dirty.

my brother has that problem with a halo on his cocker
if he uses an egg its fine (just feeds crap slow like eggs tend to) but use a halo and it smashes the paint in there so fast it breaks in the breech...

dont know if this is the problem you are seeing and i know its a halo but the mechanism of pushing balls in is the same...
as others suggest try turning the speed down

Loverod is right - the way halos work they can be a bit rough on paint - you need to find out if its the force of the stack or whetehr the paddle is doing the damage and your not noticing it until it hits your breech
