Should I use the 6AA battery holder or the 4AA one? Im confused as to which will last longer/faster loading.

With 6 batteries the hopper will feed faster and last a bit longer, but with the 4 battery adapter it will be slightly lighter. I use 6 batteries and set it on mode 2 and play in the 15 bps capped NXL/PSP mode during tournaments without any problems.

Exactly as above, the weight difference isnt massive but it all helps!!

I use 4 because the setting indicator is yellow if you use 4. That's handy.
