pre-sets still tend to come from the manufacturer threadlocked on to fibre tanks, so if your never going to move it again you can use it no probs ,I never do I always rely on the air pressure holding it tight on to the tank ,i just make sure i always use a purge ASA and have never had a problem :)

It may only be a problem when you come to get it re-tested, they need to
take the reg off for inspection.

Have only ever put them on hand tight myself and let the pressure do the rest.

Threadlock is wonderful..and it's uses are endless...however...unless you are really stupid and have the safety awareness of a, below average intelligence, American...then DO NOT threadlock your reg to your tank.

The reg should have an o ring on it, and this and the sheer pressure, will hold that bottle tight.

Purge ASA and a quick look, is all you need.

why do pmi/crossfire etc do it ? I never do it because i never felt the need but its surely not dangerous or manufacturers wouldn't do ..NO?
