basically- I have a AKA sidewinder that could do with a few drops of oil

but I have an ion which means oil in the asa and dryfire cant be done

It was suggested on ionowners forum that I the unscrew reg from the gun, put oil in asa and turn on the air
but I'm a bit dubious about the harsh 850 psi stream spewing out the reg

is this as stupid as it sounds?

(I would take the reg apart and grease it, but they are a pain to tear down)

Simple. Whack a few drops of oil into the ASA, gas it up. DO NOT FIRE THE MARKER. De-gas & remove the bottle. Leave it to settle for a few minutes. Re-gas the marker & fire off 100 or so shots. De-gas Then remove the bolt & give it a good clean & re-lube with DOW33. Ball ache, ain't it? How complicated is the reg looking now??!;)
