Reg off Bottle

ok guys, ive done this before, but last time is was a crossfire reg, which is a hex shape at the neck. i recently bought a Pi bottle with a ProToys reg on it, i need it off.
Ive tried heating it with the hair dryer and under the tap, but its still stuck fast. any help is much apprechiated.

I still dont understand why people locktight regs :S.

Word on the loctite issue.
Seen now at least 3 bottles at the local shop with the threading left in the neck, the rest of the reg snapped off completely ruining a good enough air system.

Really in all these years, how many bottles have you seen come off the threads when air is in there??
Ive had an air system for about 2 years now, never ever had the bottle off, worst thing is, theres something rattling around inside it
Dont know what i'll do when it comes to needing testing.

I'm currently removing the remains of a snapped reg neck from a bottle, if it works ok i'll do the ones in the shop if they want.

umm ..

DOes that mean that to fit reg to bottle just tighten it up..no loctite teflon tape, treadlock needed?
is hand tighten enuf or do i need a vice to do the job?

mike from brum > I'd stop using it if I was you. Having something inside whilst pressurised, is as bad as using locite on the threads. Infact you at the stage where the locites off the thread and is in the bottle !! Danger!!

pipo > hand tightening is fine. Just screw it up and make sure it's on as far as it will go and you'll be alright. The O-ring you should have makes a difference so make sure you've got it.
