Hey guys,

The reg on my Ion only goes upto like 300psi, which is LP to my understanding.

I was told that Ions work fine on both LP and HP, so would I be fine using a 650psi output tank on my current setup?

Cheers, Dan.

I think you mis reading it.
It will be a 3,000 psi bottle.
Generally low pressure regs say LP on them :)

Unless I minunderstood?

Nah mate,

Theres a little gauge on the side of my marker that goes upto 300psi or so, I think i've worked it out now though.

It seems they can work on whatever pressure just fine lol.

Thanks anyway.

Like most electro-pneumatic markers the Ion runs on LP inside.

This is governed by the markers regulator, and the marker is designed to run from HP bottles. Using an LP bottle would be possible but is not recommended by Smart Parts and some believe it may result in a slower recharge time due to the lower source pressure - but doubtfully noticed unless you are at a high fire rate.

To summarise - run it on HP

That gauge is the LPR Gauge - Low pressure regulator. It measures the pressure INSIDE your markers internal reg. This isn't your tank's output. Your tank's output is on the bottle reg.

Hope this helps!
