Hi everyone, hoping this is the correct forum to put the thread in.

I will be trading a jersey for another jersey from the states, and i know it will be quite expensive but im hoping not to expensive :p. And i was speaking to a couple of people about this and i heard that when you recieve the item you get charged import tax, but when i bought my sandana from the states i didnt get charged any. Has anyone recieved a product from the states and have you been charged if so how much?

cheers

I brought a load of bits from paintball kingdom about 4 years ago for my timmy (ajus ram cap,WAS eyes, switch, a load of detents, bolt, etc) came to about £45-£50, before they would even release it. I got a phone call asking what the bits were for, what i was doing with them, and what they would do to the gun, was it under 300fps etc, Anyway after sending them the email replying they sent them out, ups droped them off but i couldnt have them till i had payed £24. Paid it and got the bits no problem, was just the messing about and paying half the price to ups that i had to PBK, never again.... good luck bud

It was mail ordered not picked up, ive hurd loads other horror storys from others, paintball and non paintball, best non paintball one was ordered a miller welder from states about 18 months ago for work, uk pound cost just over 9 grand, came over here, had more marks and damage than 10 years in industry! customs stung us for £1300, cut a long story short letters and emails were sent, and it was picked up and taken back over there by miller, replaced and they sent another brand new one back, didnt get charged when it came back funny enough!

Its strange what customs will allow through and not. When I decided to get into doing walkons I ordered a jersey from the sates as no one had my size and when it came through it never got stoped and as you say it had gift on the label.

However when my brother in law orderd a lapco barrel from the states it got stoped and he had to fill details of what it was going to be used for and again the fact that it was going to be placed on a marker under 300fps. Once that was all cleared then he got his barrel and I think that they charged him about £70 for the fact it got stoped.
