Also wondering if two 9V (technically 8.4V) rechargeables will be suitable for an Egg (eVLution) hopper.

Not quite as much power as 2 standard 9V's but surely enough for a marker/hopper?

Cheers,

I've been using some 9 volt super cell batteries in my egg for the last year or so without problems, apart from being a tight fit in the egg.

Bottom of the page the 240 mAh ones http://www.eurobatteries.com/sitepages/householdbatteries.asp

I've tried to use them in my vlocity but it doesn't last 5 mins before it start flashing that the batteries are flat

I'm also thinking of getting some of these 500 mAh to try in the vlocity

Because the way most rechargeable batteries discharge they do not work very well in modern hoppers. You can get kits for the Halo I will show you one next Sunday ion.

Farnell were doing 2x10 9v procells (duracell) for about £16 delivered next day on a buy one get one free deal (buy one pack of 10, get 10 free). the only snag is you need to have a minimum order of £20.
