Can anybody advise on the use of Reballs?

Do these have any adverse effect on your Marker?

Reason I ask is I have a new DM6 and somebody advised that the marker needs approx 2000/3000 through it to 'break' in. So rather than waste cash on actual paint I was thinking of using Reballs but not if they could possibly damage the Marker.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I guess one problem is make sure that you wash them after you use them, the gym we play in gets its floor cleaned once a week by us picking up reballs, so if any of the grit etc gets into your barrel etc then its gonna scratch eventually...
Theyre also a fair bit smaller than regular paintballs, so dont work with some equipment, though whether or not this will affect your DM6 I dunno...

realy don't shot em above 220fps. it realy realy realy hurts! I don't think they would damage your marker, other similar products can though - V-ball (i think its these ones) have very small velco on them and scratch up your barrel.

If your worries about that at all you could get a cheap cocker barrel to run the reballs through.

+ to break your reg ion couldn't you just dry fire a couple of thousand shots? This does put more pressureon the moving parts as there are not launching a paintball. That miht be the cheapest option. I'm sure someone on here can tell you if its okay to do that.

If you shoot a box of paint when you train that should be plenty to seat the regs. Dry firing is ok if you have the air.

Reballs do wear your barrel out so you would need to have a "reball training barrel" if you are going to use them regularly. They will also wear your detents out alot quicker.
I have heard of problems with loaders after prolonged use but I can't confirm these.
