O.k. It's been going on for a while in the top secret depths of the Asylum and we're nearly ready to open the doors!!!
Rumours have been circulating and it's all true.. Asylum with a lot of help from their friends has been building the ultimate, recession busting and weather proof training arena. We've been testing it out for a couple of weeks and smashing heads of an evening to see if this brain child of Rob and his team can actually work... I'm pleased to announce it has and it's awesome..
The idea was put to us to use some of our space for a re-ball arena for teams to train on days off, evenings, winter months and when the weather is poor... It's been developed by people who've played the game at the highest levels to improve you're game.. It's a fantastic way of training drills for nothing but a clean up at the end of you're session!!!
We're still developing the arena and are trying every method in the world of getting the 8 tonnes of astro turf up 4 stories!!? which will make it even better!! At the moment we have hard-board flooring which is excellent for diving, but not ideal...
As a bunch of ex-tournie players we are trying to give people the chance to improve thier game and give enthusiastic rec-ballers a taste of tournament paintball then push them to get them involved in the sport!!
We will be hiring the arena out for up to 8 people at a time in 3 hour sessions, rules and all aspects of health and safety will be policed but basically the area will be yours with re-balls supplied and re-ball sup-air bunkers free to build as you please!! It's an excellent way of doing break out, snap shooting etc. without the heavy price of paint bills!!!
We will be announcing the opening of this as soon as we've done some final tweaking, the main aim is to have everything perfected for the winter months.
