Re-anodizing barrels

We all know that we shouldn’t re-anodize DYE Ultralite barrels because it messes up the internal bore, but when it’s a two piece why can’t the back section be unscrewed and blocked so that only the outside gets treated?

As for the fronts surely re-anodizing shouldn’t cause any problems because the ball doesn’t touch the inside of the front.

Can someone enlighten me if I’m wrong!!

yes you can re-anno the fronts no problem ( well, if they have used crap metal to make them then they may not come out nice )

so u can re-anno dye, freak ect fronts if you want to.

when you anno stuff it involves using acid , if you block up the barrel you'll end up getting acid marks where the barrel is blocked, and acid will get trapped between teh bung and teh barrel.

if you REALY have to re-anno your backs, then you can, but as you've been told, the interal size will get bigger slightly, so it will no longer be the size it says. if its part of a set, and you re-do the whole lot, it wont matter too much, just remember your barrel sizes wont be the same as the rest of the team

what about re-anno'd freak backs? would it change a significant amount as to not allow use of inserts?

Nah, you should still be ablt to fit freak inserts in the back section (after re-anodizing the back section).

The difference ion bore is going to be slight, in any case. It will get slightly larger.

Nope, like gyro says, re-anno freak backs is fine, remember they have have the o-rings to hold the insert.

we re-anno freak back to match peoples guns all the time.

What about Evil Pipe system. They are lovely barrels but will not suit my New Euro Angel. I have the Cool Blue Fade. So can you either anno the back silver or anno the whole lot to match the original barrel.

i was considering getting the evo i currently have down at belsales in the eclipse nexus pinklady fade (festiveness ahoy)

i know furysports or similar name do it
but as my technical ability is a bit ahem piss poor, could i get it anno'd at belsales or even send it down to have it stripped and sent for the anno

yep can do, altho i cant guarentee how it'll come out as ive never re-done a pipe before.
