I'm being told on one end that a Raptor may be a good beginners marker for me and on the other end I'm being told that it's fragile compared to others as well as parts being hard to find. Thing is also, every Marker suggested to me is said to be a good marker and then I get the "but". How do I get passed the but and choose a dangblasted marker?

The best thing to do is get along to some local feilds and try other peoples guns. Most people will let you shoot some paint providing you are polite and friendly. Find one you like from that.

How much money are you looking to pay? You can get some very very good markers on these forums for silly money, so price will be important.

You could get a nice cocker for that sort of money. If you are looking to buy second hand the majority of people on here are from europe so shipping may be an issue.

As I said get down your local sites, ask questions and try out as many markers as you can before buying anything. And remember that you will also need an air system of some sort, goggles and maybe a battle pack, so budget accordingly.

Hope this helps.
