Myself and my wife Nicola have just recieved notification of Olivia's operation date. For those who have met the family, you will all know how much of a little sweetie she is, and although we have been expecting a date to come through, we didn't realise that we would only get 1 1/2 weeks notice.
Olivia's operation is a complicated and long procedure involving upto 26 hours in theatre and over 50 members of the craniofacial team at birmingham childrens hospital.
The procedure involves both plastic and brain surgry to remove a cyst on the base of her brain that is very close to her spinal cord. As you can appricaite this time is very difficult for us all.
We all hope to see you out on the field later in the year.
