basically its just a mode on an electronic board that allows the user to jump their bps (balls per second) from something like 4 (but it can be changed) to a higher bps, usually 15.4bps.

ramping is where the marker ramps your bps upto your Highest ROF in that mode when you hit a certain bps by yourself, the point where its ramps can be set.

Some boards can be programmed to start ramping at a set bps. and start adding shots to your actual pulls per second. (also programmable) And offcourse there are preset values for certain game types like psp, mill, etc.

Basicly its a way to shoot fast without the effort. Without ramping i can do 14 bps, but cannot sustain that for continued periods. With ramping i could pull 6-8bps continuously and shoot 15 bps (or whatever is legal on the field i play)
Some think ramping is cheating, but if it's allowed, why not use it? It makes things much easier.

Ramping is a only aloud in some tournys and they have different rules if you use it in a semi only tourny you will be banned for the day usually. Some people say you use more paint in a game but it makes it easyer to run and gun as you arnt thinking about shooting as fast as you can so you tend to move more and then the game is quicker and i use about the same amount of paint. When ramping you still have to hit the required BPS for the gun to ramp millenium is 7.5 and psp is like 5 BPS for it to ramp to the caped 15.4 BPS.
