couple of ramping questions:

Am I correct in defining this as ‘a paintball marker firing and increased amount of balls per second with only a minimal trigger pull’?

Is this achieved by playing the trigger like a trumpet until the marker goes mental and do you normally have to reach a certain fire rate before the marker starts to ramp.

Once it starts to ramp do you have control of by how much or is this set by the board you use.

Lastly is the UK stock ion caplable of ramping or do I need to purchase something like the blackheart board?

Many thanks for any comments offered

Yep

You need to reach a preset rate of fire, usually about 8 balls per second.

Once it starts to ramp do you have control of by how much or is this set by the board you use.
On an Ion, the ramp is already set to 15 balls per second, this can be increased or decreased on the board settings.

to answer your question, yes the uk stock ion is capable of ramping.

I am not entirely sure of the settings, however i do know that millenium rules require a trigger rate of 7.5 pulls per second before ramping can kick in, after that the marker is allowed to ramp to 15.4 balls per second max.

different series have different rules on ramping.
