Generally, use the search button in the top right corner mate, otherwise people moan at you for asking things. That, and just about every technical question asked has been answered at some time or another! :D

It basically allows a player to fire at a much faster speed by filling shots. For example, if you are firing at 4 balls per second, your marker will "ramp" up to 15 balls per second.

There are different modes, conditions etc.

if you are firing at 4bps, it will ramp to 12bps, to get 15bps, you have to be firing at 5bps, psp ramping modes for example treble shots!

its been a pleasure dissagreeing with you matt!

That is referred to as 'soft ramping'.

When your gun is set to normal ramping (eg PSP) if you picked up the gun and started pulling the trigger at 4bps it would shoot..... 4bps.

PSP ramping only fires 3 balls per pull as long as you maintain 5 trigger pulls per second.

What may be confusing you is ramping 'kickback'(something I think is dangerous and dont agree with).
'Kickback' puts you back into ramping when you pull the trigger within 1 second of ramping previously (without the need for 3 shots in semi).

That would mean pulling the trigger at 4bps would indeed give you 12 shots in a second, but it would be at a rate of 15 shots per second (with a small gap) not 12bps.

The difference is subtle but since we are all disagreeing with eachother...
