Scottish Warriors present:
The Scottish Warriors are hosting their first scenario big game, and what a game it promises to be!
We are staging a full on, adrenaline packed game with something for everyone: Gunfights, duels, treasure hunting, challenges and big prizes! And better yet it is 100% in aid of a truly deserving cause - Help for Heroes.
That’s right, every penny raised from the game and it’s massive raffle will be donated to Help for Heroes – and we want YOU to help make that as big a donation as possible.
How? I hear you ask. Well, in a variety of ways:
1: Buy tickets and play the game!
The game will be held on Sunday 20th May. It is a one day event – but boy will it be packed! The tickets are a mere £30 and are currently limited to 200. So get in there fast and get your ticket. Please note that the event is site paint only. There will be a selection of grades available on the day and the decent prices we've all come to know from BZ. The paint will be Draxxus brand.
2: Donate!
If you can’t make the game but want to help then you can donate through our JustGiving page. Just hit the “Donate” button on the main page of the game website or CLICK HERE.
3: Get fundraising and Donate lots!
If you are determined to help big time and go out a limb to help us by doing some fundraising on our behalf, then we have a special reward for your efforts. The first 10 people who donate £250 to our JustGiving page will receive a FREE TICKET for the event. We already have one player signed up to play the game in a kilt……
4: Raffle Prizes.
We want a truly impressive raffle for the event. So far we have prizes on offer from BZ Paintball and LIPS – with more lined up. If you have something you can contribute, then get in touch and let us know, or hand it over on the day.
Enough preamble! Now for the game itself:
Somewhere in North England.
A strangely marked, ancient looking stone was upturned as a field was ploughed. Not sure of what he had discovered, the farmer got in touch with the British Museum. The Museum specialist immediately recognized the marks on the tablet as a form of script used by the ancient Aztec civilisation.
Several phone calls later the British Museum had the site secured for excavation under the guidance of English Heritage. Over a period of several months of painstakingly meticulous excavation an entire Aztec expedition was unearthed – complete with their galley, baggage train and staging fort.
How this could come to be in such a landlocked area raised the eyebrows of the shadowy organisation known only as M-Branch. This clandestine group pulled in favours and had the site shut down under the auspices of Britain's notoriously complex Health & Safety legislation. The British Museum knew the potential value of the site and were determined to get hold of as much in the way of relics as they could. They could not do this legally, so made a difficult decision.......
The following message was sent out to two renowned treasure hunters who could be relied upon for their results, if not their methods. They were both given the same message:
Recover as many relics as you can - as soon as possible.
Decipher the Aztec inscriptions – they are considered high priority.
Avoid actions that may alert M-Branch.
We’ve lined up two special individuals to play the lead roles in this little treasure hunting extravaganza. So let’s meet the generals:
First up, the luscious Lara Croft:
Lady Lara Croft is an 11th generation Countess. Many reputed descriptions exist of Croft: genius, gymnast, hero, villain, enigmatic and cavalier touch on but a few.
Suffering from personal tragedies at a young age, she has had the indomitability to become one of the world’s most known archeologists – although her methods have lead many more professional archeologists to label her as nothing more than a glorified treasure hunter.
Whatever way you look at it, Croft’s name has become associated with many strange occurrences and it is perhaps this that made her an ideal candidate for the British Museum’s Yarm contract.
Our Lara Croft:
Name: Kirsty Ellis
Age: 25
Team: Bad Moji
Sex: Female
From: Westgate, SE Kent
Years Playing: One. This is year 2.
Interesting Fact: Ever changing hair colour - wild as her attitude
What we say: The Moji who wears the trousers with hair colour as crazy as she is. With more balls than a box of paint and the heart of 10 lions, this is one fiery lady not to mess with – or risk some negative Moji attention.
And next up we have the indomitable Dr. Jones:
Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Junior, more famously known as Indiana Jones, was an obvious choice for the British Museum after spending some time as Chair of the Archeology Department in the University of London. Throughout his long career he has been credited with finding mythological artifacts including the Sankara Stones, the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail and the Crystal Skull of Akator.
A reputation as a fearless adventurer, towering intellect and loveable rogue have ensured the name of Indiana Jones is known across the globe. Perhaps these qualities will lead him to success during the strange events at Yarm.
Our Indiana Jones:
Name: Niall Carroll
Nickname: Niallist
Age: 40
Team: SPS
Sex: Male
From: London/Dublin
Years Playing: 3
Interesting Fact: Niall has the uncanny inability to throw flashbangs at anything other than trees - usually the nearest one.
What he says: A game put on by the Scottish Warriors is not to be missed. old fashioned gunfights and balls out mentalism should be the order of the day. Sweeet.
So, it’s time to pick your side and get your ticket while you can. Will you join the famous Indiana Jones on perhaps his final crusade? Or will you back Lara Croft on another one of her epic quests? Remember, whichever of these heroes you back, you are supporting Help for Heroes and our real armed forces heroes.
