thanks for all your help last time.

i think i screwed up so hoping you can help me out or at least point me to the right forum...

I have a set of binatone mr600 radios - they work fine on their own, they work fine with the supplied PTT ear set..

but when i try and add in the finger PTT earpiece - it fails to work. i tired upping the vox settings and doing what i could find for general radios through google but no joy.

the finger ptt ear piece has the standard single 3.5 jack... there is two jack points and i have been using the 3.5 for the supplied PTT earpiece and that works fine.

am i doing something wrong or is the ear piece bust or did i get the wrong one.

any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

Tom

Are you plugging the finger ptt directly into the radio?
If so then then that will be the issue. Usually a finger ptt plugs into a compatible headset / mic set

Is there a transmit button on the supplied headset? If yes then you can definatley use a remote ptt but may need a different headset

Note regarding vox - switch it off as it is evil
Vox is for hands free use, when you speak the mic will activate transmit. Great if you're working up a ladder. Not so good if you're running around playing paintball heavy breathing. Disaster if the guy operating a mobile fill station in game turning the compressor on and block all game organiser event radio traffic
