Personal opinion from experience so no jumping down me neck :)

E-Blade For

- Fast
- Anti chop eye
- Loads of people use them so no shortage of help or advice
-Configurable through the lcd display

E-Blade against

- Battery life
- Trigger guard was too small and uncomfortable for the size of my hands
- Grips are wide and not completely snug

Race For

- Fast
- Anti chop eye
- Superb support from Racegun
- Use any 45 grips on them
- echargeable battery pack, good battery life

Race Against

- Ugly looking eye
- Need a palm or pc to change config on field

Tried both, both had good and bad points. Would choose the race myself. Even without an eye if there setup properly and you have a fast enough loader you won't chop :)

E-blade seems to be the main choice for people and can understand why, there nice and support for them is within the country.

Indeed they do. Very good support it is too. Racegun though from some of the lads experience always put themselves out as well for you though, especially Morten who seemed to just send things out without charge when one of my ex team mates used to have a problem with his marker :) bonus :)

Well I love my Race but I have tried E-blades and have had a go on some nice ones. One of my team mates has a proper eclipse e-cocker and that has been setup very nicely, although I don't see the point of the E-blades eyes as most people I know turn them off for the game anyway. An ex-team mates was a cocker which had had an e-blade put on and that wasn't a nice trigger pull at all:(

Then there are the Race's. Now I have one and love it to bits. Got myself a cheap palm and so can change my settings at the site. Also the firmware is upgradable and the latest version allows you to turn the ACE on and off, adjust you load time (how long the bolt stays back) and also has a timer like the angels which start when you pull the trigger.

They are 2 different types of triggers with the e-blades having magnets to return the trigger and the race having springs. As usual with these sorts of things you need to try both types to see which suits you.

Also L1f3 is right about the race and eyes. If setup right and with a fast enough hopper you don't need one. Until I got my halo I used my x-boarded revvy at 11 bps with no problems. Then got the halo and at campaign ran 14bps (could have gone higher) and was ripping the paint out as fast as my mates e-blade with no problems at all. Only time I ever chopped was when I got towards the end of the hopper and some of the balls were gravity fed. Thus why I gave them my gun at campaign and they have fitted the eye for me just to rid me of this minor problem. Race's service is awesome! they have let me know what has been happening all the time, they are making special eye covers to fit my westwoods curved body nicely, they have serviced everything to get it running as fast as possible as well. If you ever need advice they have a whole forum for anybody with questions about races etc.

Plus the nicest e-blade out there is the Nexus cocker (does look nice doesn't it;) ) which goes for what??? £1250? whereas Race have this which goes for just £850 and comes with the eye, fully tested to be perfect before it leaves the factory, any colour or anno you want, any pneumatics you want and either a 15 dehree or normal asa etc. Plus with it being a HB is even faster than any e-cocker out there due to the lack of weight the ram needs to move (well there are the turtle cockers).

So like I said you need to try both types but imho I would always go for the Race any day.

Charlie.

Well put by everyone before me!

Only thing I can add.

Trigger feel.

Race still feels like a "mech" cocker to me.

Eblade feels like a "angel"

Up to you on what you like?

Both work very well, and are the best example's out there.

I like the eblade trigger, better myself.

Try before you buy, best advice there is!

there are really only 3 major differences i have seen (after trying both)
1) trigger - magno or LS
2) battery - 9v vs rechargeable
3) computer setting - race have it, eblade not (but this will be different from, i heard, next month as the com cable comes out)

both rip but there is the consideration - are you installing yourself - if so..DONT. down south belsales will intall either or up north planet can install eblade

btw i have a ebalde and they rock

Definately the Race........

I have one myself and they are awesome. I've actually received some of this 'free replacements' stuff other peaople are on about.

Had a problem with the board. Next thing I know, they are asking for my address. Had a replacement within three days. Awesome service.

Don't have the eyes installed, as they are a bit ugly, but have never chopped a ball. I use a halo myself.

One of the guys on the team has just bought an e-blade. Got a really good deal in the states. Looks cool, but performs pants!!!! Maybe he's not using it right, but this thing sucks compared to my Race.

Evo-x, Race frame..........perfect partners in my eyes.
