in cold weather , the grip doesnt want to turn on , it just makes a buzzin sound as u hold it , but if u turn it on then go out into the cold its fine , any ideas?

take the grips off and check for the wires for shorts.
Sounds like you have a short to the frame somewhere.

I seem to remember reading something about needing a spacer between the board and the frame somewhere it is is a chrome frame.
