race firmware question

hi,

one of my team mates has a race halfblock. he down loaded the latest programs into his gun as well as the hyper mode.

i have a evox with a race grip i think its one of the first versions of the racegrip. he tried downloading the new program into my gun but it froze and the front bit started buzzing?

basically what i'm trying to ask is can the older raceguns take the new firmware??

(my race dosnt have eyes if thats any use??)

the answer is no, you can only use the older (1.6?) version firmware with V1 race frames (with the dome trigger switch)

You can upgrade to a v2 board for a cost, bit it means milling the frame out and buying the new board.

You can use the newer version of RIP with the older firmware though

The new firmware will only run on newer grips with the leaf switch. Basically if you could use the 2.0.25 firmware you can use the new firmware.

Worth checking though, was it the full firmware that you tried to put? If you GET the firmware from one grip and PUT it to another it will not work.

If it has crashed the grip, try putting the old firmware back on
