Race cocker Blow Back puzzle.

Right heres the riddle.

Guns set up as low pressure as I can possibly get it.
Its not hot.
My Open and Close settings on the Race are as low as they can be.
Im using a derlin bolt with an open gas port (the one you can put it anyway), the o-rings are missing.

My Shot and dwell are both set to 5ms.

But...............my gun has enough blow back to fire a ball about 10 feet in the air when sat on the bolt with no hopper.

Need an answer and soon............clocks ticking.

Put O-rings on the bolt, and the timing needs re-adjusting slighly

What part of the timing mate?

Try the cocking rod, wind it in or out....i think it would be in.

Actually, it may be out....try both and see which is best.

(you should see a small sliver of the bolt when its in the cocked position[when looking down the feed tube])

Then it should be ok.

How did you check for blowback Slim? Two balls in the breach?

Have a crazy blowback problem with mine at the minute as well... its confusing the experts as well though, so am glad it wasn't me being a donut

Agree with Phillip though, try the o-rings back on first

How visible is the blowback as well? Put two balls in the breach with no hopper, fire the first one and watch what the 2nd does mine was jumping about 10 foot in the air

Just noticed the 'race' part too, try setting your bolt to stay forward slightly longer.

Do that as well as fixing the cocking rod...

Whats the match on the paint like as well? If its really tight that can cause blowback
