quick question bout ions

I have heard on forums that ions are great and a perfect tournament entry-level marker, but Ive also herd from other marshalls at my site that I should steer well clear, as they have had numerous probelms including the regulator and the solenoids.

Has anybody else had any problems? Or is it just the unluck few?

my bro has has his for a few months now and has no problems with it the only common problem with them is that the detents tend to go quite quickly

Am a bit stupid, havent got my ion yet so dont know whats what, what are the detents and how much are they to replace?

i got my ion few months ago and it rocks, detents are in the breach of you gun and stop balls rolling out of the end of the gun before ya even fired it or when your runningwith gun facing downwards if you stick finger in the end of the gun without a barrel on you can feel them, they arelike £7 or so to replace but you can get different ones that last alot longer and are much better

ive got 2 ions now and never had a problem with either one apart from the american board goin in one of them but that was just a faulty board go for it they rock

cheers guys, im glad im hearing this as i payed for mine yesterday so cant wait to get it, does it run ok off co2 as i cant afford an air bottle yet

you run it on co2 and il cry if you run it on co2 makesure you have an anti-syphoned bottle with an on/off attached, and just go easy on walking the trigger and hrowing ropes of paint will say bye bye to ion you can pick up cheap steel air bottle at 3000psi for like £40 best bet in the long run will make gun last loads longer

yer its anti-syphoned, I jus need to get the cash for an air bottle, its top of my list
