Hi all just a quick question regarding the hybrid grips for ego's, im just a little confused as to what screws to use!? can you use the ones on the standard grips and if so, what exactly does it meen by being careful screwing them in, if you use them? does this mean not to screw them in all the way or what??

cheers

The hybrid grips are slightly thinner than stock ego grips which means the screws can go in too far and damage your solenoid. I used to put a small but thick O-ring behind the grip and this helped prevent damage. Never screw stock screws in all the way if you are not using stock grips.;)

You should have got 4 shorter screws with the grips too, but if not either use an o-ring or cut the screws a couple of mm shorter

basically when ever you put your screws in the grip, no matter what grip it is turn it till you feel some resistance then STOP.
there is no need to swing on them like superman and weld them in, it is this that causes problems with the hybrid grips as the grips are thinner than the stock ones and people swing on the screws to make them fit flush to the grip (like they do on the standard grip) but the numpties inadvertanly feck up their solenoid with the other end of the screw.
hybrid now supply shorter than standard screws with their grips i belive, even so the same applies, dont swing on them.
