I heard that GZ and JT had "parted" just after Mardi due to a rouge sticker at Mardi.

Was just wondering if this was actually true - what happened and who picked them up for LA???

I am sure the deal was just as good as the reported one from JT but as I didn't see any pics of them on Warpig I just wondered what happened.

Oh - does anyone know the full story of the Jax game where Frank got suspened for 6 games?

And - what was the verdict on PRO? i know there where "issues" during the 5 man.

Well = for those of you who care (not many probably!)

GZ were cut for the sticker thing - it was a Diablo sticker on Maximus's (sp?) goggles.

It was apparently entirely business and not anything vindictive.

However - I have read that the guy who gave a full explaination about it all (who worked for JT) has been asked for his resignation so god knows what's up there.

I still don't know who has picked up GZ - anyone !!

Jax game - It seems Frank shot at Ed Poorman when he had no goggles on then apparently rushed him. He was tackled by refs nad all hell broke loose. He was (possibly) cut from the Jax team and Worr were none too happy about the whole thing.

PRO - seems there were a LOT of issues but more organisational than ability.

It's about time we got a bit of NPPL talk going here.

Heard the same thing about JT and GZ. Also, same again about JT guy getting canned.

Apparently WGP and Jax are cool but don't know yet whether Frank is gone or not. Also heard after the suspension that Frank was watching the game between Lockout and Bushwhackers and when teams collided after the game Frank ducked under the net to join in.

On the PRO refs. There were only about a dozen of them working and review was mixed but overall a lot of players weren't thrilled with reffing in general, PRO or others. Word is the promoters are looking to have a complete PRO staff by WC but I wouldn't count on it.

For 5-man the problem was no refs, not incompetent refs. A scheduling snafu.

In the afternoon, during the Jax Warriors and Avalanche game Frank Connell was suspended for 6 games after physical contact with a ref and firing his marker after the game had ended. Rumors abounded that Connel was cut from the team, and had even gone to other teams under the threat of sponsors dropping the team. Team co-owner Paul Bolenbach confirmed that Frank was still with Jax Warriors.

Physical contact, IMHO, warrants missing the rest of tha tourney and also all of tha next NPPL event. Why do teams pich this guy up? I mean, is it me or does he cause trouble every single place he goes? He even caused **** at Mardi Gras when he was a head ref...

Someone explain it lil ol' moi, please...
