Question regarding importing paintball gear from the states.

Hay guys i was wondering if any one knows what the rules are for importing paintball gear from the states and what customs do before u get it please could some one help with some advice

here is what you have to do.

Order item.
Pay for item with rubbish GBP-Dollar rate
Pay extra shipping costs
Pay Customs for the import duty
Pay Customs for the VAT
pay customs for the time it takes to process item.
Pay you shipping company for them to allow such customs checks to be carried out.
receive Item


...or you could check your local dealer

then it arives minus any customs fees never paid once on anything i have ordered but ... some people get hit everytime so just luck of the draw

I got hit on the independence,customs are aware of most of the avoidance tactics now and if the shop you are buying from abroad uses FEDEX or UPS you have no chance.With these couriers you get a bill after delivery of the item so may think you have got away with it,with USPS you have to go pay the charges at parcel force when you pick the item up.

Only gift items under £18 are duty free.

sample goods are duty free but why buy from the states why not support the shops in the uk ??
