Hey guys,

I dont want this to be a vs thread, as I am not asking "which one would you buy". I am trying to figure out what the difference is between an Etek, and an Ego 6.

Looking at the 2 manuals, and the schematics of the markers they are basicaly the same except that the Ego has 2 QEV's.

Am I right in assuming that the main differenece is the Etek doesnt have a screen where as the Ego6 does?

Not looking for a debate on the quality of the internals and how one is better, Im not interested in that, I am trying to figure out whats different.

Thanks
Chris

Differences:

On the left is EGO6 on the Right is Etek

3d milling 2d milling (personal prefernce)
high integrated rail low integrated rail (better)
optical board microswitch board (personal prefernce)
LCD feedback LED feedback (personal prefernce)
14'' barrel 13'' barrel (14' nicer)
magnet & spring (better) spring trigger only
QEVs (better) Elbows
eclipse OOPS SL oops (easier to maintain)

The LPR body is a bit different on an 06 EGO.
On the ETEK if the LPR body orings arent lubed properly you can get it shooting on its own, without even being turned on.

Thanks Lovetone, that answers it 100%. I was really conused looking at the 2 since most of the parts (judging on pics) look identical.

I've seen these in action and all I can say is give them a try - I was lent an SL74 for a game when my gun went down at the masters, my only real experience of shooting an eclipse marker. It was very nice, but didn't seem worth the massive price tag, but then I never had to do the programming side of things. I'm sure the Etek shoots great, the ego will be nicer to work on and a bit faster, and the SL is more of posing points. Actually, posing can be fun - where can I get a couple of grand? Nah, sod it, I'll have a Fly ;)
