Our press release on the merger:

Has created a lot of unrest in Denmark, unfortunately.

Some of the former Ugly Ducklings players, feel that it is directed at them, and that the purpose of the press release is to give them a jab.

Now, it has never been the intention, and personally I do not feel the text conveys that, but I would appreciate if you guys could let me know if you read it like that?

I cant see how that could be taken as a job towards anyone, its simply a " we are looking forward " "we cant wait " type of press released.

Personally I don't read it as a jab in the ribs. But I can understand why the former players might feel that way. Given the fact that they are former players, they may well be a little over sensitive to whatever is said about them and as such have a negative attitude. So don't pay it too much attention.

I thought it was fair and honest about recent results.

The only thing that bothered me was the blatant self promotion when you claimed that your first ever shot was a hit.

Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with the piece. Players who have been cut will naturally incline towards negativeness when it comes to the team they have been cut from.

22 players on the roster? That's a nice foundation to work with. I'd say that is about the right size if you want to take international competition seriously.

Actually - they didn't get cut, they left of their own accord - which is why their position baffles me even more.

Hehe - it may be some time coming, so don't hold your breath

BTW, this was back when ROF was something like a ball every 2 seconds - and the distance was about 5 metres (I was hiding in a shrubbery), so as far fetched as it sounds, it is actually true

I imagine the part that some are taking offense to is the first part of Frank's quote which could be interpreted as laying the blame for the team's worst results ever on the now departed and if there were any hard feelings in the process to begin with I could see how it might be taken poorly.

Besides this is paintball you're talking about.
