question about MS scoring system

Ok I have a question whats the difference bewteen a draw and a lose from the flag point of view?

1 Match point for a draw (no flags grabbed after 7 minutes)

0 Match points for a loss

Draw = no flags grabbed, game time runs out before a flag is grabbed.

So you could get 1 point with no players on the field - your last man gets shot with 10 seconds left and they don't pull the flag = you get a point.

Ok then if that the case and your last man gets shot out and no one grabs the flag then how do you lose?

You lose, if the other team has either the flag in transit or hung the flag.

So you don't even have to hang the flag anymore eh?

Note that the final two players mutually eliminating each other would result in a draw.

If the last player on a ateam is elminated by a penalty, does that result in a win for the opposing team?

Yes, if you want 3 points then you have to hang the flag, otherwise you only get 2 points.

If the last player get penalized with a 1-4-1 then the result goes 3 (+1) to the other team and penalized team gets 0 (-1)

What is the resolution to no-shows or team pulling out?

In the event of a no show the team would recieve 3 Match points and an E/D of +5 or an average of their other E/D, which ever is higher.

Would would happen to the E/D count if a player was accidently vaporised by an Orbital Laser cannon? Would that count or only if they're the flag runner?

I think the most important question now is, that as the new scoring system is trying to be more like football, will we be seeing more golden goals? sorry that should be golden balls!!
