Query: Posting CO2 bottles

Does anyone know the rules governing the posting of CO2 bottles.

Need to get one to someone who bought me old Rebel, obviously completely empty and packaged in more bubble wrap than it would take to cover a small car.

Will the post office take it or will the anti-terrorist squad kick my front door in for daring to do such a thing?

i think their rules are that it has to be empty and it will be fine.
i walk around train stations going to training with a jacko pack strapped to my back pack with silver pods in, it looks like a bomb!!!! people come up to me going, eeerm can i ask what that is?? i'm like dooeer, a jacko pack!??

I actually tried to send one and they refused to take it. I posted on here and most people had never had a problem, but a lot just wrapped it up and didnt tell the post office what it was .

Should be okay. Just empty the bottle and wrap it in bubble wrap. I have sent bottles out before and not had a problem.
