Q-lock help

A friend of my is trying to fit a Q-lock but he is finding it hard to take the stock one out, any ideas? it seems welded on!


Again any help much appriciated (sp)

place the gat in between a pillow...
grab a teatowel
if that doesnt work..
try hitting the top of the feedneck with a hammer ( and the sides )
the vibrations should loosen it up.
but i take no responsibility for screwing up the gat

Big no not to the hammer!

1 on the following three ways should do it

1) Get a set of pliers grab hold of the feedneck (one inside one outside)
and turn.

2) Heat using boiling water to loosen any loctite & then go to town on the pliers

3) Heat using a match and go to town with pliers

If you wan to get the feedneck of in good condition use a padded strap wrench or similar.

Be careful using water on a electronic marker & also be careful with the matches I also take no responsibility for anything that happens.
