i was very concerned when i read about a fellow paintballer
seriously hurting himself while filling his air tank.
I then did a bit of surfing on the net and discovered to my amazement , that SOME push in fittings are only rated to
20 bar, (290 P.S.I.) some of the plastic pipe is o.k. depending
on thickness of the wall.
The british paintball society have made severe rulings on bottle
types (DOT or H.S.E. ) but no rulings have been made on the
fittings that have to work at pressures of over 800 p.s.i.

So please guys when you set your markers up with that posh
looking black pipe checkout the working pressures of the fittings.

lets all have a safe paintball game.

on a related note couple weeks ago a push fitting exploded due to a faulty reg and took half the flesh my team mates finger head with it!

so use steel braided or be damn sure to have the micro/macro lines and fittings in damn good shape!

BY FAR the best solution is to buy an SFD hose system from London Paintball Supplies. They are about £27 but are removable (screw fitting) with flexible hosing and rated to about 8000psi - best thing I have ever bought for a marker and I would never run one without it.

Speak to Jon or Chris there. Both friendly and helpful chaps on 01707 325007.

Getting your existing macroline connector out of your reg can be a little troublesome if you have the straight connector type (e.g. Angels) so use a strap wrench (e.g. boa constrictor) which you can get from places like B&Q or Focus for about £6 and wrap a mouse mat or similar around your reg (stops you chewing the metal up) and then clamp it tight with mole grips or similar and spin the existing one off with the strap wrench. Put a dash of lockite or Granville threadlock on the new connectors, screw them in place and leave for 24 hours. Bish-Bosh, jobs a good 'un

8000psi? Are you sure? Most of the stuff I've seen on markers is labelled as 3000psi rated (although that should be enough for pre-regulated air!)

Either way, quality hosing, and excellent flow as well.

No I'm not sure, it's probably way less than that but it still takes more pressure than you'll ever be able to put through it.

Great piece of kit and makes diconnecting marker from air setup a breeze...
