Pump action, sorry . dose anyone play with them any more? I have a couple of Phantoms and used to enjoiy playing with them but everything is semi, semi, semi now any one miss them now, for a laugh anyway .
Hi there - where in County Durham do you play? We all started off playing with pumps and have talked a few times about the possibility of running a stock class type day at Witton Castle. I've still got my Bud Orr Ranger and Hatts has his Scorpion If there's enough interest, we could arrange something... Failing that, just take your pump out against the semi's and show them it's quality not quantity that counts
I specifically bought an old phantom because it was the first marker I played with that was any good. (plus it was going real cheap!). Haven't had the chance to use it on a walk-on yet but it's been fully resurrected care of new internals from Mike, and works a treat on the target range.
Granted you'll be out-balled-per second on a small sup air field, but where you can move around on a larger field and negate the advantage, you can still have a great day's play with em.
i love pump guns,
got a sniper so that i can use my cocker parts in it, is great fun for walk ons.
ok you wont be shooting as fast but theres no doubting that top end pumps are more acurate!
When I've seen people use them. Ilove the huge BANG! as they fire
When I first plaed paintball a few years back, it was at a rec ball site that just had pumps and it was one of the best paintballing days that I've had cos the field was great and the fun that I had shooting my mates was wicked
heheh the BANG was more than likely due to the marker being run on liquid co2.....i set my sniper up exactly as i do my cocker no big bang and no nasty co2 cloud
heheh thats the one...you know the one that makes that HUGE cloud of co2 for you to hide behind as soon as you shoot...maybe we should run all markers on it..portable cover!
