ive got an evolution sniper2, i have fiddled with the auto trigger and got it working but there has got to be a more logical way to do it, can anyone tell me the correct way to time an auto trigger?

joe bob, "auto trigger" on a pump doesn't mean the same as automatic firing. On a pump it means that you can hold the trigger down and it will fire every time you pump, instead of having to release and pull the trigger every time. Obviously much faster for playing with pumps, it's almost like firing in semi mode but with the other hand :)

However, I don't really know anything about the setup of any pumps, so I can't help jahlad much.

It's going back a Looonnnnggg way but I seem to remember that WGP Snipers couldn't be set up to slam fire so you needed to add on the autotrigger unit or something. Whatever it was I'm sure it was an add on rather than just holding the trigger like I did on my Sterling STP

Like you say, them's were the days:cool:

thats right, you need a slam kit

its basically a bar that attaches to the pump rod and forces the trigger away from the sear as you pump it.

slam fire kit timing

you need to move the two stops on the cocking rod as the bar acts as a safety catch.
1.loosen off the rear stop,and move back.
2.cock the gun and look down the feed tube so you can see the bolt,then as you push the pump forwards hold the trigger down(you dont need gas)and watch where the bolt is when the gun fires.i find that this wants to be just before the bolt is fully forwards.you adjust this release point by moving the front stop.
forwards =earlier
backwards=later
3.then when you are happy move up ths back stop to a point where it keeps the bar tidy and close ,but take care that the bar moves freely and dont catch.

i hope this helps
:)
good luck
