Having just blown the dust from my Sterling and took it out for a bash, I found it so much fun that I want to do it again. I am posting to see if there is any interest in a pump competition, to be held either in Norfolk (likely) or Surrey (less likely) and if so, what format should it take. I was thinking about mechanical (non-assisted) pumps only, with any gas source and no limit on paint. Other options are no agitating hoppers, limited paint etc. If you are definitely interested in getting the old wrists moving again, then PM me or e-mail to oliver.bell@virgin.net, and we will see if enough will have a go to make it worth while.
As many pump types are less internetted than some, if you know someone who has a pump and doesn’t frequent the boards, please let me know.
If you would like to try the format but don’t own a pump marker, please let me know as I will try and arrange good deals on some pump markers from cheap to still pretty cheap (amazing how cheap markers can be when you leave out the batteries). I guarantee, if enough people respond and are committed to the event, it will take place, even if it’s in my back garden.
