Hi

I have had it from a reliable source that there are issues with the pulse loader feednecks being very weak. I was planning to buy one, now im severly put off by this development.

Anyone experience this?
Any statement from DXS?

I thought one of the plaudits of the pulse was indestructable shells!

Lovetone,

One of the most common reasons for this is when idiots tighten their feednecks up too tight, then when they dive or whatever the feedneck snaps.

You probably knew this already:rolleyes:

Angus.

Thats only the shells, (although you could argue that the feedneck is part of the shell). They are made from the same stuff as the V-force lenses.. again im probably teaching you to suck eggs:p

EDIT: been searching on the Nation, someone said that the first batch of pulses may not have been as strong as the newely shipped ones.. dont quote me on it though.

To be fair, all hoppers have a problem with feednecks breaking. Its only becasue the Pulse is the new hot product that you hear people perhaps saying that is is weak. Im sure halo's break feednecks more commonly then pulses or whatever, you just dont hear about it.

Any feedneck is going to break if you think about, think of the weight of the hopper on a tiny tube about 1" in diametre, you put stress of the feedneck causing the bonds to break in the material.

I am, shall we say, not the most skilled at diving (think wounded elephant) and mine took a couple of hard knocks yesterday with no ill effects.

I think it's probably a batch thing if anything, sometimes with all plastics the mix goes slightly wrong so if there is a problem it's almost certainly not a design thing but limited to a particular batch.

Try phoning Manic?

im just gonna hold off buying one, perhaps til im in the states anyway, and can get a nice red or blue one, provided the shells are out then...

new toys = teething problems, so perhaps this is just a small example.
