Post up what you thought of it, and please only if you watched it live, not from the vids that came out later.

On the positive side I thought the commentary in game was very good.

On the negative side I though it was not a patch on the NPPL, not even close. 1 web cam with low band width and a lot of lag meant losing a lot of the game play.

If (and I hope so) the PSP want to take this forward I think they can learn a lot from the NPPL.

All in all, not a bad effort, but needs to improve a lot.

Even so, thanks to the PSP for putting this up.

The frame rate of the video made it hard to watch, but it is a start I suppose.
I have someone checking it out to see if I can use it at the PA/Super 4.
The commentary was the single thing that made it, hell I was just listening most of the time.
I thought it was a fixed camera and was pissed to see they could get a good quality picture zoomed in, it would have been far more entertaining if it concentrated on one or two of the key players during the match.

If you are going to use a fixed camera! do you think you could do a duel broadcast so you had a camera on each team?

Yeah that was the main thing for me. I didn't mind the frame rate too much, but only seeing one side was...vexing. All in all, it was cool to see something though, so I'm happy. :)

I found the frame rate ok for much of the time, with the occasional dropout for a couple of seconds. But I may as well have been peering through the glass of an ant farm, with the little worker ants running about industriously, doing whatever it is that industrious little worker ants do. And it was particularly frustrating to hear the commentators whooping and yelling about something that was going on at the opposite end of the field to where the camera was looking. The commentary was reasonably good on the whole, though.

In short, it was a lot better than nothing, but a lot less than what could be done with a couple of extra cameras, placed closer to the field, and a person dedicated to editing the live feed.

I think its great that they have put up webcast. Of course it would be better if the framerate would increse and some more cams. But in hole I realy glad to be able to see the games, living in sweden and all.

I going to be wathing next time. Hope they have it next time to.

I think it was a great effort for a service that didn't take a dime from player entry fees, and broadcast an event with a winner.

Think it was ok for a first try. Its not up to the NPPL standard yet, but i think theyll get there.

On a side note, i have a reaaaally hard time to listen to Bea Youngs commentary. Id much rather listen to Nicky T or Matty Marshall. Paintball needs a great commentator, who will it be?
