I've been looking at bottles and all that but to be frank I haven't got a clue what PSI means and all that. Also, for most games you can't shot over 300 something, how can you tell weather your going over this and what do regs do apart from being a handy front grip?

Ok PSI means Pounds per Square Inch. Air bottles come in two different PSI sizes (or three now) 3000psi, 4500psi (and 5000psi). Now if you have a 1.1 litre 4500psi bottle it will hold 50% more shots than a 3000psi bottle of the same size.

Now the regs, this is what changes the pressure from 3000 or 4500psi to something usuable. There are two types adjustable and screw-in. Adjustable air systems cost quite a bit more than screw-in air systems because of their ability to be adjusted from around 200psi-1000psi. Now screw-in air systems work just like co2 tanks it just screws in. The reg on these types of air system are pre-set, usually to 800psi.

These regs are usually attached to the bottles. The foregrip regs your talking about are low pressure regs, which take the input pressure from the tank, even lower sub 600psi, or sub 200psi if its a maxflow.

psi = the pressure in the tank
fps= feet per second ie the speed your paint is flying at, mask lenses are only garanteed to 300fps the sites use a chrony(like a police radar gun to see how quick the paint is travelling)
regs stabalise the pressure of the gas into your gun giving u better consistancey in your shots, not to be confused with a expansion valve wich helps the liquid co2 turn into a gas
it depends if ure wanting c02(cheaper all round but a dirty gas,but not that bad) or air which is dear but consistent, when buying your tanks:D

cirian pack it in,out typing me:mad: :D

It's not just the safety issue that mean we have to keep the velocity down - over a certain speed the marker would be classified differently under the Firearms act.
